I am fortunate to meet her for at least once in my life. I still remember she wore her beautiful white baju kebaya and the sunlight was cheering on her along with her warm smile and grace walk. She has this something shimmering about her.
I didn't go to her 'tikar talk'. Instead of girls, boys were trying the baju kebaya and giving their perspective views on how they feel in it. My matrix is famous for its cinema-advantages. We watched 'Mukhsin' together (yeah of course it was a fullhouse til many had to seat on the floor). She gave us a little bit of love, a little bit and a little bit. That was one of my memorable days.
Some Mondays are harder than others. This is one of the toughest. We lost Yasmin Ahmad, one of the most inspiring people we've ever had the fortune to know, over the weekend. While we've shed many tears in grief, we must remember to celebrate her too. No hope, no love, no glory, no happy ending.
Kami takkan pernah melupakanmu. Rest in peace, kak yasmin.
